Deck Cleaner is a powerful one - step cleaner and brightener that removes ground in and surface dirt while restoring a bright, vibrant look to fiberglass and weather-beaten marine wood such as Teak and Mahogany. Unlike bleach or chlorine based cleaners it will not damage the wood fibers.

Where to find the product ?

Properties

  • Lightens and restores colour to all greyed weathered marine wood without bleaching.
  • Fast acting, restores greyed weathered marine wood to its natural colour within 20 minutes.
  • Use on all wood species: Teak, Mahogany, Iroko, Oak, Larch, Pine...
  • Excellent degreaser for tropical hardwoods prior to applying the chosen finish.
  • Removes all traces of weathering attributed to mould, mildew, pollution...
  • Restores lustre to plastic and GRP dulled by weathering and UV rays.
  • Removes rust stains.
  • Neutralises surfaces stripped or cleaned with MARINE STRIP* or DEEP CLEANER*.
  • Safe to use - harmless to plants and shrubs.
  • Biodegradable - Does not contain solvents or bleach - rinse with water.

Where to use

  • Exterior use only.
  • Removal of weathered grey wood fibres from untreated timber - Decks, Handrails...

Preparation surface

CAUTION:

  • Surfaces may be slippery when wet. Use caution when walking on wet surfaces during application.
  • DECK CLEANER may dull painted surfaces and some metal fixings if left on to long. Rinse off quickly
  • or wipe with a wet cloth.

Application

Wood:

  • Wet surface with fresh, clean water.
  • Apply DECK CLEANER with a synthetic brush or roller (medium or long pile).
  • Scrub surface with a stiff nylon/ synthetic brush.
  • Leave to stand for approx 10-20 minutes. If surface starts to dry, dampen with a mist application
  • of water.
  • Scrub surface whilst rinsing with water or use a pressure washer (max. 60 bar).
  • If required repeat procedure.
  • Allow to dry 48 hours or until the wood meets the moisture content required by the chosen finish.

Plastic or GRP:

  • Wet surface with fresh clean water.
  • Apply DECK CLEANER using a brush.
  • Leave to work 10-20 minutes.
  • Scrub surface with a soft or medium nylon scrubbing brush.
  • Rinse with large amounts of fresh clean water.

Rust stains:

  • Wet surface with fresh clean water.
  • Apply DECK CLEANER with a stiff nylon scrubbing brush working in to rust stain.
  • Leave to work a minimum of 10 minutes or until stain has gone.
  • Scrub surface with stiff nylon scrubbing brush.
  • Rinse with large amounts of fresh clean water.

Clean-up

Water

To maintain product

  • Left over DECK CLEANER should be transferred to a smaller, airtight, closed plastic or glass container.
  • Keep from freezing and high temperatures.

Tip

  • Do not use on aluminium.
